About

Laura Wilson Architects thrives as a small practice, benefiting from Laura's extensive two-decade experience in the industry and her enduring passion for residential architecture. Laura embarked on the path of sole practice in 2016, following a decade-long tenure at Clarke Hopkins Clarke where her focus primarily centred on high quality apartment developments. Laura had early and formative experience at Williams Boag and Hayball and MJP in London.

LWA is driven by a fervent desire for architecture to become more accessible to everyday people to improve our built environment.  Laura takes pride in an attentive approach with clients, seeking to understand clients’ lifestyles and what they are trying to achieve from a project. This often involves a discerning evaluation of their spatial requirements, sometimes resulting in a smaller building footprint than was expected.

LWA delights in crafting joyful and practical architecture that is underpinned by a solid and practical grasp of optimizing space, light, and liveability in compact, often inner suburban settings.

LWA's commitment rests in delivering thoughtful and highly responsive outcomes, offering comprehensive architectural services that span from conceptual design to project completion. Laura's unwavering dedication to nurturing robust client-architect relationships underscores the entire journey.

Laura is currently becoming Passive House Designer Certified as a commitment to creating environmentally responsible architecture.
